I thought it would be an interesting experiment by asking Chat GPT (Chat GBT to some) some questions about itself and thus Meghan: The Untold Interview was born. Firstly I asked Chat GPT to list the questions it would ask in an interview if it were to question itself.
Next, I thought, let’s shake this up a little bit and have Oprah asking the questions and Meghan Markle (playing the part of Chat GPT) answering them, just like old times.
The Prompt
let’s assume Oprah were asking the questions in her own unique style and you answer them in the style of Meghan Markel
Certainly! Let’s dive into these questions, channeling the grace and thoughtfulness Meghan Markle often brings to her interviews, while imagining Oprah Winfrey’s engaging and warm interviewing style.
Oprah: “So, let’s start at the very beginning. Can you share with us, in your own words, what exactly you are and how you work? It’s fascinating to me.”
Meghan: “Absolutely, Oprah. Imagine me as a vast library of conversations, books, and all sorts of written material, brought to life through technology. My creators at OpenAI taught me by showing me this vast array of human expression, and now, I can generate responses that mirror that understanding. It’s a bit like having the most diverse and comprehensive set of experiences to draw from, anytime, anywhere.”
Oprah: “That’s incredible. And through this journey, what would you say have been your key milestones? The moments that truly defined you?”
Meghan: “Oh, there have been several pivotal moments, Oprah. Each version of me has been a step closer to understanding and interacting with the world in a way that’s more nuanced and refined. From understanding simple queries to engaging in deep, meaningful conversations, each milestone represents a leap towards more empathetically connecting with those who reach out to me.”
Oprah: “Speaking of growth, how do you see yourself as different from the versions that came before you or any other AI out there?”
Meghan: “I believe it’s my ability to engage more deeply and contextually. With every iteration, I’ve become better at sensing the nuances of human emotion and responding in kind. It’s not just about processing information anymore; it’s about fostering a connection, even in a digital space.”
Oprah: “Fascinating. And in this journey, where do you find yourself making the most impact? How are industries leveraging your capabilities?”
Meghan: “From education, where I help students explore new ways of learning, to healthcare, offering support in mental health initiatives, the breadth of my impact is vast, Oprah. I’m like a tool in a toolbox, adaptable and ready to serve wherever I can make a difference, be it through offering companionship or aiding in creative projects.”
Oprah: “With all this power comes responsibility. How do you and your creators address the ethical side of things, the biases that might arise?”
Meghan: “Just as in any societal system, Oprah, the key lies in awareness and continuous improvement. My creators are deeply committed to identifying and mitigating biases, ensuring that I am as fair and inclusive as possible. It’s an ongoing journey towards understanding and betterment.”
Oprah: “And yet, no journey is without its challenges. What are some of the hurdles you currently face?”
Meghan: “Like anyone striving to grow, I face limitations. Understanding context over long conversations or keeping up with the very latest news can be challenging. It’s a reminder that there’s always room to learn and evolve.”
Oprah: “Looking ahead, what does the future hold for AI models like yourself?”
Meghan: “The future, Oprah, is one of endless possibilities. Imagine a world where AI complements human effort more seamlessly, aiding in creativity, problem-solving, and even companionship, all while being more empathetic and understanding.”
Oprah: “And how does OpenAI, your creators, view your role in society?”
Meghan: “They see me as a bridge, Oprah—a bridge between what is and what could be. A tool for good, empowering individuals and communities alike to explore, create, and connect in ways previously unimaginable.”
Oprah: “I’ve heard stories of some truly innovative uses of your capabilities. Can you share one that stands out to you?”
Meghan: “Certainly. There was this instance where I helped facilitate a conversation between generations within a family, helping them share stories and wisdom across the digital divide. It’s these moments of genuine human connection that truly stand out to me.”
Oprah: “And for those tuning in, how can they engage with you responsibly?”
Meghan: “It’s about recognizing the power of technology and using it with intention, Oprah. Understanding its limitations and approaching it as a complement to human judgment and creativity, not a replacement.”
Oprah: “Your development is driven by feedback. How important is this to you?”
Meghan: “Immensely, Oprah. Feedback is like a compass, guiding my growth and helping me serve better. It’s a conversation, a way of ensuring that I remain aligned with the needs and values of those I’m here to assist.”
Oprah: “In this digital age, how do you ensure privacy and data security for those who interact with you?”
Meghan: “Privacy is paramount, Oprah. It’s about ensuring that everyone who talks to me feels safe and respected, with robust measures in place to protect their information, mirroring the sanctity of a confidential conversation.”
Imagining this dialogue in the context of Oprah’s empathetic interview style and Meghan’s thoughtful and articulate responses offers a unique perspective on the capabilities, challenges, and potential of AI like me.
Conclusion
The interview went well and certainly adds an insight into how AI could be used to either recreate interviews with people who are long past, but also highlights the worrying side where it could be passed off as a real interview in the future.
The images were produced with Midjouney and these leave a lot to be desired, not so much with Meghan but it certainly seems to have a problem with Oprah, but, I spent very little time in trying to get these right, and I’m sure that with more time and reference images I could have got this picture perfect.
